Add
Students
Via
the second button in the top menu of the "Subscription"
content area of the "Teacher Dashboard," teachers
shall have the ability to prorate newly created, inactive
student accounts to their current subscriptions (increase
the maximum number of active student accounts in the database),
if they so desire. For the most part, the payment process
will be identical to that of the "Extend Access"
function.
Fewer
Than 30 Days Access Remaining
As
shown in the first mockup, above, this function is only
for teacher's who have purchased multiple months of access,
and have more than 30 days access remaining. If the teacher
has 30 or fewer days of access remaining, this notice shall
display to the teacher, along with a "Close" button
for simply exiting the module:
"Need
to add new student accounts to your current Readingful subscription?
No problem. We’ve got you covered. However, this function
is only valid if you have more than 30 days of access remaining.
Please use “Extend Access” in the menu above,
to both add more access to your account, and prorate new
student accounts, simultaneously."
No
New Accounts
The
second mockup, above, shows the state of this module if
the teacher has more than 30 days of access remaining, yet
has no new student accounts created that aren't already
active.
"Need
to add new student accounts to your current Readingful subscription?
No problem. We’ve got you covered. However, at this
time it doesn’t appear you have any new student accounts
created that aren’t already part of your subscription.
Please first create the new accounts you need by using the
“Students” section of the menu to your left."
Step
1: Verify number of new accounts.
If
the teacher has both more than 30 days of access remaining,
and 1 or more inactive student account(s), he or she can
use this function to prorate. This state is shown in the
third mockup, above, and now shows this starting panel as
"Step 1" of the payment process, in the subtitle.
"It
appears you currently have a total of X new student accounts
to prorate and add to the time remaining on your current
subscription. If this isn’t the correct number of
new student accounts you need at this time, please either
create more student accounts, or delete the accounts for
which you don’t have a use, in the “Students”
section of the menu to your left."
Also,
the total price is quoted in the infoline footer. In the
above example, the teacher is prorating 3 student accounts
to 142 days access remaining. 3 x 0.033 = 0.099 x 142 =
$14.058, rounded up to $14.06.
Be
sure to account for a singular student "account"
in the above verbiage, as well.
Step
2: Select payer identification.
This
step, shown in the fourth mockup, above is exactly like
the second step in the "Extend Access" purchase
process. It just requires slightly different text in the
instructional text, which is why I mocked it up real quick.
The remaining purchase process step should be identical.
Success
As
shown in the fifth mockup, above, the success panel is also
nearly identical, just with some slightly adjusted verbiage
to note the number of new accounts added.
"We
have successfully processed your payment of $XX.XX, which
has instantly added X new student accounts to your subscription.
Your payment will appear on your financial statement as
charged by readingful.org. You can print a receipt for this
payment now, or any time in the future, by visiting your
payment history section in the menu above."
