Student
Credentials
As
seen in the first mockup, above, Readingful shall, via the
fifth button in the top menu of the "Students"
content area, give the teacher the ability to, with the
push of a button, generate a PDF that contains a list of
all student login credentials in two separate formats: an
alphabetical list, as well as cards that can be cut out
and distributed directly to students. This is handy not
just for getting started with Readingful at school, obviously.
But, for the student to take home and show to his or her
parents, for reading at home, as well.
"With
a quick click or tap of the button below, you can instantly
generate a PDF of login credentials for all existing student
accounts—organized in the form of both a standard
list (sorted alphabetically, by reading group), as well
as individual cards that can easily be printed, cut out,
and distributed directly to your students."
Generating
When
the teacher clicks or taps the "Generate" button,
let's replace it with the processing animation, and updated
information footer, as shown in the second mockup above.
Hold that for 3 seconds, and then serve acompiled ZIP file
for download.
ZIP
File
The
served ZIP file shall be named "readingful_student_credentials.zip"
and include 3 PDFs:
1.
"credentials_list.pdf"
2.
"credential_cards.pdf"
3
"parent_letter.pdf"
Success
After
the PDF generation process is complete, the module shall
change to the success message, shown in the third mockup,
above.
"A
printable PDF of login credentials for all existing student
accounts, in both list and card form, has been successfully
generated, and automatically downloaded in your web browser.
Simply print this list, cut out each card, and distribute
them individually. To get your students started, direct
them to log in on Readingful’s homepage, and begin
reading."
List
The
list of student credentials shall display students alphabetically
by first name and reading group, as shown in the fourth
mockup, above. The student's first name and last initial
show in the first table column for each row, the reading
group in the second, the username in the third, and the
password, in the fourth. At the bottom of the list, as a
footer, is a reminder about the power to override individual
student account passwords with a global password.
Cards
The
cards themselves shall display eight per page in portrait
orientation, on a standard letter sized document, and include
the student's name, password, and username—with the
URL for the platform in the lower right corner, as shown
in the fifth mockup, above.
Parent
Letter
This
shall be a one page PDF that serves as an introduction to
the Readingful program to parents, that teachers may optionally
give to parents of students who are new to using Readingful.
Global
Password
If
the user has a "Global Password" set, it shall
override the display of individual student account passwords
on both the "Student Credentials" list and card
formats.
Alt
Message
If
the user has no student accounts yet created when the "Student
Credentials" module is opened, an alt version of the
text paragraph and infoline footer should display, along
with a disabled submit button, as shown in the sixth mockup,
above.
"This
is the section of your teacher account that will allow you
to instantly generate a PDF of login credentials for all
existing student accounts—in both list and card form.
However, at this time you do not appear to have yet created
any student accounts. When you do so, by using the options
in the menu above, this function will become active."
