"Here, kitty, kitty!" called Sabrina. "Here, kitty, kitty!" shouted Sabrina--tugging on a pointed hat.
She stood in the hallway.
The young girl smiled at her festive reflection in the hall mirror.
The young girl looked into a mirror. She
felt rather pleased with how her witch costume had turned out.
She smiled at her image. <<<<, 800, 0
Then,
she tugged on the hat she wore. Grabbing a bag, Sabrina quickly bounded out the door.
It had a pointy tip. That's
when she noticed a dark ball of fluff leap, from the cottage steps,
into the pumpkin she had carved--a jack-o'-lantern.
Sabrina felt
happy. <<<<, 800, 0
Her costume had turned out well. "There you are!" huffed Sabrina.
<<<<, 800, 0 She reached for the feline,
but was met with a hiss and a paw of claws.
Sabrina grabbed a bag. Her pet raven, Mr.
Feathers, flapped his wings to land on the brim of Sabrina's hat--
using it as a perch.
She put it over her shoulder. "Don't be like this, Midnight.
She
walked out the door. Not only are we
late for the party, but I promised I'd bring you."
That's when she saw a dark ball of fluff leap

It jumped off the cottage steps. Seeing no easy way to grab the ornery cat, Sabrina simply
picked up the entire pumpkin--including its occupant.
It landed right in a
pumpkin--a jack-o'-lantern. "Have it your
way," said Sabrina, as she began walking down the forest path.
Sabrina had carved it yesterday. <<<<

"There you are!" said Sabrina.
She reached for the cat.
But, the
cat didn't like that.
The cat met Sabrina's hand with a paw of claws.
The cat hissed.
Mr. Feathers, Sabrina's pet raven, landed on her hat.
He used it as a perch.
"Don't be like this, Midnight.
We are already
late for the party.
I promised I would bring you."

Sabrina could not see an easy way to grab her pet.
So, she
picked up the pumpkin.
Midnight stayed put.
"Have it your way,"
said Sabrina.
She began walking down the forest path.
